This is the format I think I most thrive in. The Blog Post. I've worked on a few in my time. Some of my first big hits were on HonorsLounge.com, a student-run blog at Temple University (that's now defunct, but was popular before I graduated), I've also written my own take on a food blog at Macaronieatsyou.wordpress.com, and am currently working on a series of pieces on Medium.com that I may spin off into a full-on blog. I'm sharing some of the juiciest bits below.
A personal post, in which I dive into why I believe straight men don't always have the most positive relationships with themselves.
This is one of the best parts of my current job. I was tasked with taking the transcripts of a speech given by the head of HR at Munich Re, US, and turn it into a blog post. They really dug my writerly flourishes and borrowed some of my best lines for their social media promotion.
This is an excerpt from my blog, Macaroni Eats You. It's technically meant to be comedy, except the joke is that I write incredibly over-thought and pseudo-philosophical musings disguised as macaroni and cheese reviews.
Honorslounge.com's domain has lapsed and all traces of my content there are no longer viewable. If you click the link it will give you a download of a Microsoft Word Document of one of my favorite pieces that I still have archived.
My attempt at writing 50 Shades-tier smut, except about macaroni and cheese.
